The Copley Arms in Hessenford has unveiled new bed The Copley Arms in Hessenford has unveiled new bedrooms alongside a cosy bar and dining space at the much-loved 17th-century riverside pub. 

Run by husband-and-wife team Hannah and Jared Lothian, the pub has undergone a carefully phased renovation. 

In a recent review in The Times, Sean Newsom praised it as “in a lesser-visited area of Cornwall” with “handsome rooms, good beer and a great walk on the doorstep.”

I'm delighted to have been appointed as a Trustee I'm delighted to have been appointed as a Trustee of Georgia's Voice, Cornwall’s dedicated mental health charity for young women aged 18–25. 

I feel really lucky to be joining such a dynamic team, all focused on improving the lives of young women across the county. Our first session was full of passion, honest conversation and brilliant ideas - it’s clear there’s so much more we can do together!

The Ponsanooth Community Benefit Society has taken The Ponsanooth Community Benefit Society has taken over the Stag Hunt Inn for April to show what a community‑owned pub can be. 

From training local volunteers and young people in licence compliance, cellar management and bar work, the pub has also hosted a book club, police drop-in, games afternoons and live music. 

For the big April takeover finale, the team are hosting a Beer Festival on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April with local breweries, live shanties and family fun… All profits will be put towards purchasing the pub’s freehold. 🍻🍺
