GAIL’s Clifton Village, welcome! The lovely bakery is now open from 7am to 7pm serving the neighbourhood of Bristol coffee, sourdough & the best apple and sesame cake there is. The team are a total dream, and I’m very proud to have been a part of it 🚀

Earlier this year, my father was given the life-ch

Earlier this year, my father was given the life-changing diagnosis of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a rare, incurable neurological condition that causes problems with balance, movement, vision, speech and swallowing.

My brother and I, along with our best friend and partners, are setting out to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (the three highest peaks in Scotland, Wales and England) in just 24 hours to raise money for @teampspa.

The disease affects only 4,000 people in the UK and with no disease-slowing treatments available, my family has relied on the support of the PSPA, an incredible charity that supports patients like Dad, and families like ours.

On 20th July, the challenge will see us hiking for 23 miles and navigating a total ascent of 3,064 metres (over 10,000 ft!) - we’re aiming to do this in under 24 hours. My mum has kindly volunteered to drive us over 450 miles between them.

We’re determined to raise awareness of PSP, and use our experiences to better the life of others who may be affected by this horrid illness & we’d really appreciate your support.

It's been fascinating to work with the campaigning

It's been fascinating to work with the campaigning group, Good Business Pays, to reveal the companies with the poorest payment performance in the last six months. We secured coverage in The Times, which led to Coca-Cola UK promising to change its payment terms... That's a WIN!

For some background, the Good Business Pays Late & Slow Payment Watchlist Spring 2024 research showed a 20% increase in companies reporting average payment times of over 80 days, with the largest surge in companies reporting payments being made between 80-90 days. Over half of the companies paying on average more than 100 days are those in the manufacturing sector.

The work that we're doing with Good Business Pays aims to encourage the UK's largest companies to fast-track payments to small suppliers, helping them bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic and injecting vital capital into the economy.

By day, the space offers a lunch menu and some of the best-picked produce, and by night it transforms into a restaurant, headed up by Gabriel Verdi. The reviews have been flying in and it's so lovely to hear how much everyone has enjoyed visiting! Kernow Dine & Deli also featured in The Telegraph Magazine this weekend - one to watch!

Delighted to have been appointed by craft bakery, @gailsbakery to support with the opening in Clifton Village, Bristol – the first in the south-west.

GAIL’s has grown out of a small craft chef-led bakery that has been serving top restaurants and food venues for the last 30 years. In 2005, GAIL’s opened its first neighbourhood bakery in London’s Hampstead Village. GAIL’s is known for its sourdough bread, sweet and savoury bakes, freshly made sandwiches and house-blend speciality coffee.

Super proud to share that, following continued expansion and growth, Prima Bakeries Group, which incorporates Redruth-based Prima Bakeries and St Columb-based Cornish Premier Pasties Limited, has announced its transition to an employee-owned business. The group is currently the fourth-largest producer of Cornish Pasties in the world and the largest locally-owned producer in Cornwall.
